Patagonia Argentina

Besides the beautiful surroundings and wildlife that encompass Patagonia, it has some of the best trout fishing in the world. There is almost nothing better than consistently hooking into trophy wild trout in a truly majestic atmosphere!

Head guide Pablo Zaleski, is a true trout whisperer. Pablo is a truly devoted fisherman, and he expresses his love for the sport every time he is on the water with his clients. The fishing season runs from November 9 through May 1. Trips often range from 5 to 10 days, fishing both from a drift boat as well as wade fishing. We regulate two anglers per guide to make sure everyone has ample opportunity to enjoy your odyssey.  Large groups can also be accommodated with multiple guides. A great aspect of fishing with us is the opportunity to travel and fish several different rivers during your trip. We can arrange to fish certain destinations for a few days, then we will transport you to the next amazing adventure. Rivers include: in the valley; Chimehuin, Alumine, Collon Cura, Caleufu; northern rivers: Pulmari, Rucachoroi, Malalco, Quillen, as well as Quemquemtre, Filo Hau Hum, Meliquina, and the Quilquihue.

All of these rivers boast trophy fishing, both through dry fly-fishing as well as subsurface. However, Patagonia has some of the best dry fly fishing in the world. There is a myriad of aquatic life that attracts large Brown and Rainbow trout to the surface looking for food. One of Pablo’s favorite techniques is throwing large dry flies to large fish; it is very possible to accomplish your goal of a five-pound trout on dry. There is also the famous yellow Adams hatch in January that is a primetime opportunity to dry fly fish for big trout.

While enjoying your odyssey in Patagonia you have several lodging options. Jonas Brother Wild Devotion can book your stay in beautiful lodges, at local town stays, or at river camping trips—whatever speaks to your adventure.

Fishing for these strong pure trout is enough to bring you to this magnificent place in itself, but Patagonia had so much else to offer. It is a great place to bring the family, not only to indulge in the rich history but also to enjoy the beautiful countryside when you aren’t fishing.

Both Pablo and JWD pride ourselves in making your trip as enjoyable and as smooth as possible. We will help you reach your destination easily by having someone meet you at the Buenos Aires International airport and getting you to your connecting flight smoothly, and then pick you up at the final airport to escort you to your fishing destination.
